I recently finished my dwarf. While working on this longtime project (At the beginnig of the project there was no BMesh in blender ) I have learned several things like characterdesign, sculpting, texturing skin (sss), hair and much more. I have learned these skills from a great german video tutorial done by Ruben Buchholz (http://www.galileo-videotrainings.de/das-blender-training-fur-fortgeschrittene/2856/training/). There exists a long work in progress thread in the german Blenderforum (http://www.blendpolis.de/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=37709) but my english is not good enough to translate it. Just ask for everything you want to know, I will do my very best to give you an answer.
Hey Martin, I do like your character, its pretty good job on everything really, I think the modelling looks especially niceā¦what I would changeā¦I think dwarfs as I imagine them are either very ugly or very funny, this dude is neither, he looks like one of my countrymen in any pub :DD, I would try to emphasize some parts (like belly, cheeksā¦to be more dwarflike)ā¦but seriously good work
Hey! I just looked at the picture and directly thought of Ruben Buchholzās Tutorial, ha ha! (Yes, I own it, too!)
Your result looks really really nice! Well done!
Feels good to read your comments, thank you. I think he is not that tiny. He is a dwarf but a big one ;). Perhaps I shouldnāt have named him a āDwarfā but the tutorial is all about that :D.
Oh, I forgot to post the link to the object on Sketchfab:
