dyntopo displace modifier concept

I just came with idea to make dyntopo as modifier for object. it would be alternative to remesh and also possible simple fast solution for adaptive mesh displace.
Right now it is no problem to use image as brush and dyntopo, maybe modifier that is using brush and uv to displace whole model during rendertime only…
maybe making treshold for dyntopo to not triangulate white areas is not so difficult?

it just idea for developers but maybe from our discussion there will be born some interesing project…

I’m not a technical guy, but I think this is what micropolygon displacement does. If this is the case, It’s already on the roadmap.

I did not know about this micropolygon displacement, it looks cool.
