Earth

So now I’m working on a scenethat might get me involved with a paid project. I’ll need to animate a satellite moving around the Earth (I don(t know any details yet). Step one is getting the earth right. I’ve tried following Blenderguru’s tutorial but it’s too outdated…
There seem to be two tricky parts: the day/night time transition (which, depending on the brief, might turn out not to be a problem, we’ll see) and the atmosphere.
Any advice on an atmosphere material would be much appreciated

Let me know what you think!

Another WiP pic, more in close up (as will be needed in the shot). Not quite happy yet.

Two more WiP pics. Getting closer, but I still struggle with the atmospheric glow… Any tips on that?

Edit: yes I know the light reflection is too bright

You could ask to poroma, his render looks much better than yours.
