edges of blender .

as you notice in the image

1- the edges don’t exceed to the bird feet and other elements of the girl like the nose .
2- it doesn’t surround fur hair .

someone on IRC pointed out using renderlayers to avoid [1] , btw : didn’t try it yet …
how do i solve [2] ?

and is there a other way to make edges with nodes ?

I agree that you need to render in layers with outline generated around each element then layed into the scene. Tough for the grass tho’.

is edges possible with nodes ?

solved problem 2 by making the hair absolutly dark .

Perhaps a convolution matrix set to pick out edges based on contrast then drawing a line around, sort of like an unsharp mask in photoshop. But I don’t know if you can get there from the Composite nodes. Maybe use the depth buffer for seperation?
