Hmm your sky looks skewed to the Notorious Six’s Cyan, I am curious which view transform you are using, or is it the sky background asset itself is already skewed? Or maybe it is skewed in post processing in some other software? Or maybe it’s just a creative choice that you are making consciously?
hi
The sky is not crooked! Maybe it’s the optical illusion you see
Well… It’s obviously skewed…
Here is an example of what I mean:
Skewed (sRGB Inverse EOTF):
And this Filmic High Contrast:
Here is AgX Punchy:
When I look at your sky, it looks skewed to me
Skewed is the wrong word, it implies crooked.
I think what you mean is clipped or crushed.
No I mean hue skews, the sky blue is skewing to cyan.
I understand what you meant, but the word “skew” in a visual composition is typically used to indicate orientation and alignment, and not color variance.
I am not the first person to use the term, there has been a lot of related discussions in various places, and “skew” is the term they decided to use. My understanding is that the chromaticity line of the color is unwantedly bended as it gets higher intensity, therefore “skewed”
But I guess you have a point that I was not being clear, probably should at least have said “Color Skew”
Neither “Clipped” nor “Crushed” suggest any change in the hue so no I don’t think they are the right term to use
welcome back
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Thank you very very much :
