I tried Blender 4.3.2 LTS for a day, and while I think Eevee Next is very good, it still has a few issues to be ironed out.
For example:
-
Horrific amounts of “noise” or grain in both render and viewport. I tried every setting and couldn’t get this to go away like in previous versions.
-
Raytracing is horrifically noisy.
-
Samples do nothing to eliminate noise, neither does denoising.
-
Render is no longer crisp, rather it gets noisier the farther your objects are from the camera.
-
Some things that worked fine material-wise in previous versions are now broken to an extent.
I’m running Apple Silicon here.
Can somebody explain why Blender 4.2.3 LTS has so much trouble with noise in both viewports and renders? It drove me crazy, so I reverted to 4.0.2.
The noise happened in both Material Preview and Rendered, but not Solid or Wireframe.
I would love to use Eevee Next. But the issues I pointed out above need fixing, as I hate the film grain - it just looks far too unprofessional. We are not in the 1920s.
