Hello, today I’d like to share my latest short movie, Electric Night
It’s a movie about the anxiety you can get when dating in gay bars, but how ultimately you spend a beautiful moment beyond what you even imagined.
The characters are anthropomorphic animals taken from gay body types. As opposed to my other movie Cité d’Argent, this one is only about the beautiful moment, not the difference between those moments and the rest of the world. I wanted to remain clear and focus on the subject all while getting nice looking shots.
It’s my first short movie where I used video as references to make all my keyframed animations, and I think they look way better this way. There’s also a focus on making the characters clear in their designs. However, the environments are extremely simple, and having a ton of reflections in the bar does all the heavy lifting.
Everything was made in Blender, except the cloth sims in Marvelous and the music in LMMS
Hope you enjoy it
