This is my first original blender model. The blade is a bit scratched up but I had a hard time finding a good texture for it.
For a first model it’s pretty decent. Nice work! My two main crits would be that the background texture is a little too busy, and the handle seems an odd length. Not short enough to be a sword handle not long enough to be a naginta handle.
Thanks! Yah, the background is a bit busy. I modeled this sword based on the Elven swords in Lord of the Rings which have long handles.
The blade does have a refined half-rusty look, so thats a plus, but you need work on your blade handle, seems too smooth for an ancient weapons, perhaps you could try a rougher texture or a leather wrap around it.
And I would love to see that on the hands on a fully modeled combat elf =D
