This is annoying.
It was that i could just paste in a youtube link, or uf its a short i swap the work short for embed, and the vid would be ebeded in the page. This seems to have stopped. I dunno why.

Same thing happened to me, but I recently changed OS (and haven’t finished fixing it yet), so I was checking to see if the problem was on my side.
Ok, so it’s a YouTube thing where they got pickier about their links. Awesome
Hmm.. that’s weird.. i just included this video and position:
..with the youtube “share” feature.. it also uses the youtu.be URL/domain .. but it also seems to not embed.

Well.. i meant: this is the URL i got from youtube.. but they got picky on their own URL.. !? 
It works with shorts as well. Its silly that you now have to add www like its 2004, but at least it works. Something in the combination of youtube and … is it discord blenderartists.org is built on? is broken.
If YouTube changes their own behaviour also in “publishing” the wrong URL at least according to thumbnail generation then Discourse only can change it too..
..and than change it when YT changes it again.. and then..
It’s somekind of dependency “we” sometime in the future have to pay for.. 
oh wait there is YT+/premium already !?
