Ive changed the Background from an old table to clean fabric. Feedback and critz welcome.
I remember this. I like this background better.Really nice job modeling.
I like the new background as well, It definitely gives the viewer a better appreciation for the modeling details you put into the ring.

The top image is better to me.
I agree, much improved. While I do like the idea of constrasting the ring with a rough material, this certainly is probably easier to pull off.
As for myself, I prefer the image with the shallower DOF. It really makes the main stone stand out better I feel. Great lighting, by the way!
