Environment Mapping

I want the environment map to display when running the game engine.

could you please explain what the problem is?

The environment map does not display when I run the game engine.

The usual way of doing this in the game engine is to use a skybox, or sky dome.

Here’s a blend with a basic small skydome, I’ve also added a texture to the monkey to show how you can get very basic reflections using the same texture mapped to Normals instead of UV. Notice however that the sun in the monkey’s reflection doesn’t match the real position of the sun in the sky, for that you need more advanced shades.
