Equilibrium - Blender Short Film

Woah! 8 months in the making during 2024, and bit into 2025, I can finaly present to you my short film “Equilibrium”! Heavily inspired by H.R. Giger’s work, combined with Hindu symbolism, my most challenging, but also most revarding project yet.
Hope you enjoy it!

After Siddhartha’s village is consumed by flames and his people arebrutally slaughtered, he embarks on a journey of despair and hope.Haunted by visions of destruction, he seeks refuge in an ancient templeto ask for help from a higher power. On his path of transformation,Siddhartha will come to understand that restoring balance requiressacrifice and confronting his own inner chaos.

@Oldman_f This is really cool and similar to a project I’m making, would you be down for a super short interview? Please let me know as it would be extremely helpful for what I’m doing! Thank you!

Yeah, I’m looking at a film. Of very realistic – no, “real” – places. Excellent cinematography. Things that constantly pique my interest and make me want to keep watching. The fact that his mask is attached to his face with nothing to hold it there tells me subliminally that this is no ordinary man. Likewise, the sets, with details like “intertwining serpents,” tell me that this is no ordinary place. There is certainly a lesson in everything from cinematography to animation to sound-design here. You have paid careful attention to the tiniest details … and all of them are important.

But I almost feel like the film is yet unfinished. There is more of the story to tell, to achieve closure.

Did the devil ask your soul or your firstborn for rendering this?
