Holy shot!!! Where is the full animation… what a COOL style man, love it!
I love those small anims on your artstation. Sort of GIF to the next level. Really stunning style.
amazing work.
I love it, great job and keep it coming!!
Bravo!
Would like too see this as a artstation canvas print… comic book style…I would buy it
this is amazing!
This is incredible!
@BLENDER_NINJA: Thanks
@bartv: That’s awesome, made my day
@Ascalon: Sure, see below. Let me know if this helps. Basically, those are additive planes, placed behind the characters/things, to make sure shapes and silhouettes are clear.
(sorry, the compression messed it up, but you should be able to see somethig at least ;))
@chippwalters: Thanks. Tutorial series is unlikely, it’s hard enough to find the time to do those few images. But I am more than happy to answer questions… Composition is the subject I can’t shut up about, so ask away ;). For example:
There’s that technique used by old painters, which basically is light against dark, dark against light:

I just tried to keep that in mind when setting those planes and depth. This generally works well for any project, but is so surprisingly hard to implement in client work. Because bright product bottle has to be seen over bright clean background, because of reasons that have nothing to do with composition of the image ;).
Maybe I can do a litle breakdown of the composition, just to show why things are palced the way they are. Gimme some time, this sound like fun thing to do.
@RoseRedTiger: Thanks. Funny thing is, those gifs are an afterthought really, just to see what happens in motion. Quite surprisingly they work really well, so I’ll probably do more of them ;). Maybe I’ll even move something else except the camera…
@anon12677551: Thanks
@HelloHiHola: Thanks :). I’m not familiar with shadowrun, but after a brief research… I think it’s something I’d enjoy. And thosse gifs… they are an unexpected bonus.
@Neoteric3d: Awesome thanks
@rombout: Thanks. Full animation - not likely atm, unless I hire an actual animator to do the job.
@masterxeon1001: Thanks :):
@Bernardo: Thanks. That is the plan, to do more of these.
@rogper: Thanks
@BLENDER_NINJA: Will see what I can do about that. i’m curious myself how much would that cost…
@genics: Thanks
@alksndr: Thanks
If I understand correctly on artstation you dont pay anything yourself to make a print they just take a cut
WOOOWWWW. GET OUTTA HERE!!
How did you add ALL THOSE FLYING SHARP PLANES?? are they added by hand on edit mode and then you just go duplicating them?? When I looked at this pice I thought it was made with grease pencil.
Congratulations, man. This is the most sick and unique thing I’ve seen in the community so far. Such an inspiration!
Haha this is a trick of course. I made a blobby shape out of a sphere, randomly deleted some polys, did it twice more, decimated (Planar mode), decimated again, and got something like this:
This got an additive material, and i basically placed it wherever needed. Scaled, rotated, squashed, used parts of it -
Also, some of the triangles are from voronoi patterns from the planes, some from random intersections of the planes, some from decimation of the models…
Amazing. Thank you for sharing!!
Would you mind submitting this image as a header for BlenderNation? Details are here: https://www.blendernation.com/submit-header-graphic/
Done and submitted.
Last one for now:
A: I’ll get you even if it’ll be the last thing I ever do…
B: Idiots everywhere… Shut up and let me help
The gifs of course ;):
Progress:
This was really fun to do, will do more in the future - it feels good to do some personal art after a long break.
Wow your are great and gifted! Btw you made best publicity ever to EEvee
