Even distance from edge to edge with loop cuts

This is going to be a bit tough to explain, but i’ll try my best. I’m making a boot and im trying to make this part

(The thick part of the shoe that kinda extrudes out a bit)

and notice how the line is roughly about the same distance to the other?

How do I do this with loop cuts? I tried adjusting the falloff and it somewhat helped, but didnt achieve what I was looking for.

Thanks in advance, and I’m happy to explain this more if yall are still confused

Edit: A better way (kinda) to explain it is that after the loop cut the newly created faces have the same height (x)

Type Ctrl + R > 4

doesnt seem to do anything asides from loop cut, but now it shows this other orange line when im cutting.

Ctrl +R, 4
It’s that simple, there’s not much more I can say

I meant more of the height of each new face the loop cut makes (see the edit i made in the og post)

I want it so the x distance is the same as the y distance

Wait actually I figured it out, I tried sliding the edge all the way down then using the move tool to move it up. I must have been just overthinking it…
