Exactly how can I make the Ocean modifier look like a river?

How can I make the Ocean modifier look like a river? If you ever have seen a flowing river, you’ll notice the rapids and sometimes slow, but small waves. How can I replicate this in UPBGE/Blender? Or do I need Geometry nodes to create the simulation?

What the heck is a flowmap?! Can it be used to “paint” flow direction and strength? (i.e: creeks)?

Watch the video…it is an add-on to paint where a texture FLOWS…a lot like using Dynamic Paint for Wet Maps…but realtime …

I just have one more question - does this addon work on Blender 3/UPBGE 0.3? Because if it doesn’t, well I am a little screwed…

It works in 3.3 fine…so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work you still have texture paint in there , right? ( I know nothing about UPBGE)
