Dear all,
I’m new to Blender and I want to know if it is possible to export a blender scene or object as a .png file. I wish to do this in order to use the image in a JME application.
Thanks in advance
Angus

This is in the wrong forum, but
Simple set up your scene and go to the Scene Settings (F10). Look for a button towards the right in a group labeled “Format”. In that section, there is a button with JPEG on it. You can change the type of file created using this drop down.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Blender.

Just to add to PhilBo: once you’ve chosen the PNG format, go to the ANIM tab just to the left and set the start and end frame to be the same. Then hit the “ANIM” button, and your PNG should show up in the directory specified in the “Output” tab on the far left.
There’s probably a smarter way but that’s what I do…
Or, just hit the Render button, then wait for the render to complete. When it’s done, hit F3 and then choose the file name and location.
…or you could click render then save the image…
