I want to export a character I have modeled, shaded and rigged in Blender into Maya? What attributes are possible to export import into Maya. For example Vertex colors, shaders, rigs including weighting?
You could try both FBX -and- USD to see what works best for you.
But don’t expect much for rigging. That doesn’t translate well between any animation application. Expect to redo all rigging/weighting.
Also shading will need to be redone, as Maya uses Arnold as it’s renderer and there’s no real Cycles>Arnold translation when shader setups become somewhat more complicated.
