I saw this video and tried exporting an existing file as SVG
Sadly, the output I get is similar to viewport shading like this
while the rendered result is like the below ( which is what I was expecting for the SVG export as well)
I could not save this as SVG though, only PNG.
How can I make a colourful SVG export, same as the rendered image? Thanks.
Hi meetdilip,
you must check “Export Fills” and you must give your Objects a “Viewport Color”.

Hi, I did that. Double checked ![:frowning: :frowning:](https://blenderartists.org/images/emoji/twitter/frowning.png?v=12)
But I didn’t set any Viewport display. It is whatever default.

Looks like it renders whatever there is in Viewport display colour instead of material colour. Please see
What to do if we have a metallic material? When I checked Viewport display allows only setting colours.
That’s how it should be.
You can only Export:
Base color
Base alpha
Base thickness
Dashes
But you can edit the base color e.g. with a gradient or a pattern in Inkscape
