Exporting Textures?

Hey there, I was wondering if there is a way to export .jpg or other format textures in blender. I have been thinking about selling some models that I have made, but when I export them into .lwo and .3ds they can’t keep the textures that I made -so it appears that the only way for someone to get the model the way I made it would be to just give them a .blend -but that really limits my market.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

I think that exporting with the Wavefront OBJ format is your best bet here… (You’ll get an OBJ [object] file and a MTL [material] file.)

But then again, what do I know?

thanks, i’ll give that a try

The last time I looked into this, you also have to include the texture as a separate file (UV mapped), then whatever you open the obj with, use that to also apply the skin. The UV mapping should carry across to the obj.

I think that was before I read about the “pack data” option. That might keep the texture together with the model.
