Fun student project. One afternoon per image from scratch.
Yes, I know there are issues, including obvious texturing problems.
… and an interior shot …
Enjoy.

Gorgeous work. With some small adjustments you could really take it far. Some pretty significant blurring at the edges of the structure. Is this an effect of post processing?
a little more tweaks, and this will turn out excellent!!
1st image, ignoring the textures i can highlight:
-why there is a house in regular front of an icon building, these kind of buildings usually have a big space around them.
-DOF makes back trees miniature, most dof uses is with far away space.
-decrease the dispersion too, it also makes the image blurry. 2nd image is very good, like the camera distortion, adds complexity and good focus.
This is an architecture student project, so this is an actual site with a heritage building located there. The question of “why” it is designed like that is not purely a visual one, but an architectural one.
I agree with the DoF and dispersion. Unfortunately, I use it as a cheap trick to save time modeling random background details so I can instead focus on the building itself. When presenting this part of the architectural proposal, the critics only care about the building itself usually in the picture.
