extrude along a curve

Does blender have an “extrude along a curve” command? If so, how do I go about accessing it?

Take a look at BevelOb and TaperOb options when working with Curves

Although it has limited features, it works in some cases

Also you can use Subsurf modifirer and get proper curve but extruding can be done manualy

The only way I know how to get some sort of result like Maya is to use the curve modifier. It takes a lot ok tries to get it looking right sometimes though, so I think the only way you are going to get it right is to do it separately or by hand. Hopefully that will be developed soon.
