I followed the eye tutorial in Introducing Character Animation with Blender which uses procedural textures for the eye. Two of them are blend texture set to a Orco mapping. I decided to bake them to a .tga texture using a UV map unwrapped using ‘sphere from view’. What I’m trying to get is similar to the attached file, but without the bumpiness.
The bumpiness is caused by the difeerence between a curve and a set of straight lines. I suspect your eyeball either doesn’t have smooth set, or needs either more faces, or a subsurf applied before baking.
Yeah, ramping up the subsurf should work. Thanks, hopfuly I won’t have any problems.
