Nice render.
Clean and well done.
Materials are really well done…

What could you share with us about the Darktable choice for the post production?
Just testing? And how do you feel about it?
Before you used another tool or just Blender compositor?

thanks in advance.

Amazing. I really like the materials and the color palette.
How does Darktable compare to the other post production software that you used in the past?

The lighting looks very good.

Before using darktable i used CaptureOne, which feels sometimes pretty similar in the workflow although they are a bit different.
I use darktable now for two weeks, and it will be my new postproduction tool from now on. I tried it two years ago, but never get used to it. This time i watched and read some tutorials from their website and things look much better. Its overwhelming in the beginning because of nearly endless options for changing colors or contrast, but in the end you just need less than ten “moduls”. I export a 32Bit exr file from Blender (which CaptureOne cant read, only raw files) as the base. Its definitely worth a try, but take your time and experiment a lot with the different modules. The first tutorial on their website in the blog is a very good start.

Thank you for sharing this.
Probably I should take another round with it as the first approaches were not so nice…

Yes, probably your first experience was like mine. But when i read the latest tutorial in the darktable blog i gave it another try.
