I sculpted Fafnir (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fafnir) as part of a larger scene I’m working on and went ahead with an individual render of him.
- Sculpted in Zbrush
- Textured in Substance Painter
- Rendered in Blender 2.9 using Eevee, default samples. It has quite a few lights to highlight different parts. I’m amazed by how powerful Eevee can be. It looked better than Cycles for this specific scene and it took just a few seconds to render.
- Sculpt was around 16 m polys but after baking normals, the final scene in Blender had just 83 k.
