Failed to read blend file, incomplete

I was working on my blender file yesterday with no problems. All of the sudden today it will not open for me. My computer never crashed so I am not sure what has happened. It says “Error: Failed to read blend file ‘(filepath)’, incomplete”. Is there anyway to recover this .blend file? I have tried using the autosaved version in the tmp folder and appending the models into a new blend file. I also tried to using using a different version of blender (2.7 and 2.63).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’ve had the same problem. The only solution for me was to import (append) from another blend file my works.

Darn, haha ok. Thanks for the response. Well I guess it could be worse. At least this .blend was one I only worked on for 6 hours or so
