I am studying 3D with some emphasis on Blender. I decided on this project as a learning experience after I recently finished the game Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon on my NN3DSLL. It took about a month, I didn’t count how many hours but I estimate between 100 and 200.
I learned many things. One of them is that I have to optimize my 3D because my PC isn’t strong and it was very difficult to work after a large amount of polygons were present. Some of the issues that I encountered: modelling, sculpting, lighting, volumetrics, materials, shaders, textures, UVW unwrapping, rigging, animation, transmission, texture painting, clothing simulation, modifiers, hair particles, and retopology.
