Feed compositor output into movie clip editor

Hi folks.

I would like to take the output of Blender’s compositor and feed it back into the movie clip editor for the purpose of motion tracking. How would I go about doing this?

You are doing it the wrong way around. The tracker feeds into the compositor. The compositor is the last stop before the VSE.

It goes like this:
Movie Clip Editor (tracker)–> 3D view–> Compositor–> VSE (if required).

Hi David. Thank you for your reply.

I understand that, usually, it would go this way. However, I am working with footage that has not been prepared specifically for motion tracking. I am cleaning it up for the purpose of motion tracking in the compositor.

How can I take this cleaned up footage and perform the motion tracking analysis on it?

Only way is to save as image sequence then reimport to the tracker. Sorry.

This is for the mask tool but it shows you exactly what 3pointEdit is getting at which is the only way you’re gonna be able to do it.

Thank you for your responses, 3pointEdit and RamboBaby. Your solution, of course, works.
