Ferrari Armanno. Original concept design.

Hey guys. Just finished wrapping up an original design of what I call the Ferrari Armanno. It’s a concept supercar. Designed in Blender. Hope you enjoy!

Very good concept!!!

I just can’t help but wonder… where’s the engine?
I mean, obviously it’s behind the driver because that’s how super cars roll, bu there isn’t any room for it there. Or anywhere else, for that matter. Unless of course it’s a moped engine, or it’s pedal-powered.
It just has a… caricature-y feel to it.

lol. Good question. I suppose I didn’t think that deep into it. In my mind it was more of “in the future” freestyle mentality assuming engines can get smaller a produce high power. Aka hybrid or electric power cars.

Thank you Andrea

Think of a Formula 1 car with the plastic bits taken off. There’s the minimum amount of car. Actually even less because F1 cars are so purpose-built they wouldn’t last long on regular streets. And who wants a gearbox that needs replacing every other week? (Disclaimer: I don’t really know anything about how long F1 car parts last)

Of course, F1 cars and that Ferrari of yours alike have one significant problem when it comes to public roads:
Ground clearance. You could hardly run over the painted stripe in the middle of the road in that Ferrari without scraping the bodywork. And what would you do if you encountered a speed hump? A kerb? Some spare change lying on the tarmac?

I mean, the render is nice enough, but the car is just… it’s implausible. And it’s either a one-seater or as wide as a bus.

You’re right. Definitely took more artistic freedom and veered away from function a bit. In the real world this car wouldn’t handle the public roads at all being so low. But then again, I find the concept realm a fun departure from function. Like if this guy can make head lines

Then I know concept cars are literally all over the place.

I imagine the Armanno being a one seater for racing. Not really a car you get away for the weekend with. I think the fuselage design wouldn’t allow for a two seater. The car a man gets time away from the wife with like a motorcycle.

Ah, a track day car you’d take to the Nordschleife on the weekend, carrying it there on a trailer. Gotcha.

lol man I need to get to europe real soon. America can learn some things

Functional or not functional, matters little.

You have done a superb job here, modelling is good, the car shader is IMHO excellent and the rear view is something that Ferrari may just want to steal from you.

Only thing really is maybe the tyres are too glossy.

Shaun

thank you man. means alot. funny, I actually got the idea for the rear from daniel simons oblivion drone face outline to an extent. He’s an inspiration and influence on me.

Took some advice and tweeked her up a bit and redid the paint work.
