fight animation in blender

hi guys check out my wip clip … i wants to make it in 2d and final output is quite nice i think …

many penetration and mistakes are there but final one would be better then this …

my animation is bit poor in this one :frowning: but i am trying to improve it as much as i can …

please give comments guys

Wow, very nice, I can’t wait to see the finished project!

Wow, that was great! cant wait for the sounds and better textures:p, but yeah basicaly what CMonson said," I can’t wait to see the finished project!"

I love the beggining, and the earth breaking punch thing :stuck_out_tongue:

ya guys thanx for watching but don’t expect 3d output cause i want to make it in 2d totally 2d … same as in galactic football… ill upload render images after couple of hours…by the way wish me 2day my b day … ttadaaaaaaa hehee

Really cool

Really cool animation!
At the end I would turn the camera back to the robot when the hero look forward to gain some dynamism.

Keep it up!

You are one h$ll of an animator! I think it is great! You really pushed it on this shot, I love the follow through on the kick in the beginning. Masterpiece.

One problem I see is when he hits his ready pose, right after the puppet thing rises off the ground and he shakes his head. His hip is way too far out. I think if you looked at that pose in silhouette it would look like he is dancing the samba. Could just be the framing of the shot.

Just gotta say the end where he climbs the rising debris is almost perfection, and very surprising, maybe some small timing issues that could easily be tweaked, even in post.

hey guys,

thanx for watching clip, for ahuri i like to say there are more surprises ahead buddy ill try my best to get good looking output …

and 3dementia … thanx for comments… as you said after puppet thing rises up off the ground he starts shaking his head as he was hanging by his hip in sky…that is looking bit ridiculous hehe … and looking bit odd so i will change it by tomorrow… and hope you guys like it …

and here some almost final render without any particles… i m thinking about to add some ground fog and environment debris… check out the renders and let me know how it is …

thanx

Yeah, great job!

yep
great work dude.
some posing can be improve but that’s really great at this stage
keep going

Oustanding job !!! This is really impressive, your animation skills are very good.

I like the time ramping effect near the beginning

Very awesome! Keep working!

thanx shane … your work is also awsome dude …marvelous skills you got

No prob. Is there a story/idea to go with this wip?

I like the anime style you’re doing.

Looking forward to seeing this thing finished. Don’t let me down or I’ll be angry (kidding). Seriously, try not to get hung up on people’s good/bad feedback. I don’t know if you’re like me at all…I could get 10 compliments and 1 negative comment. That one negative (cuz of insecurity us artists have) could slow down the whole production. But once I get back to caring more about my own original vision and inspiration, things pick up again. This artist biz is a hard place. It’s hard for me especially to keep myself from showing short demos of what I’m doing. I get excited and want people to see. But in the long run it just slows me down. So my new years resolution (seriously) was to stop uploading tests. Everyone uploads test animations and rarely do we see a finished piece of work. Now, I’m not saying you’re this way. But a lot of people, including myself, kind of are. [sigh] self discipline is not easy to come by these days.

Stay fresh and keep making new scenes. Remember, simple is more. In a lot of cases, being a one man team, you can still delivers a sweet movie without mind blowing effects. Of course they don’t hurt either. Just sayin.

Anyway, I’ve got my own project in the works. So I’ll stop my rambling and get back to it. Lets see who finishes first!! …uhh, but no rush.

hmm thanx for advice buddy, and ya you are right… to start a project is easy but to complete it is way too hard then we think , but dont worry about this … ill gonna complate it soon … i have done almost 45 sec of anim … and story is a bit long so need some time to complete but anyway … you said you are also working on something …its been long that blender community heard from you hehehe ,i have seen your ninja project and i must say it’s gr8 work … but i think you were in rush to complete it … thats why you dint much work on environment … or else you wanted to b it like lowpoly,…anyway nice to talk with you dude…

okey time to get back to work … c ya

That’s what happens when you have a baby. I kind of gave it a year to re-adjust. I LOVE being a husband and dad!
I don’t get to spend the amount of time animating that I would like to, so I do have to try to be efficient and keep things moving. Little Ninja Project (being my first…while also working full-time…plus occasional all nighters to finish work projects) took me almost a year. I had to give it a cut off date…which ended up being around the time of Anime Expo '09. I learned a lot!! Death of Little Ninja Project (kind of a joke) was made in 3 weeks! Now I’m working on something that is also simple, if not simpler. It will have a lot more fight action! So far I love it and want to show people, but must stay in secret. Now I’m using Blender 2.53 and am spending more time on the forum. it’s a tricky learning curve for old people like me

ohh…ya its hard to get time for extra projects… me also working full time … (but not a daddy or husband :D) but buddy you did a great job as it was your 1st project… whatever time you have taken but it seems that your vision is a lot clear then others …not say more cause may b u know better then me as u are alder … hope you will show us soon on what you are working (hu haaa more fights this time) …looking forward to see it …

thanx
tc
