Hi,
Had 17mb blender file…
No new object, working for about an hour… Small things…nothing great… Now saving 850mb…
I began to delete objects and collections one after another and save everytime to see maybe where the candidate hides…Monday I will go on. If I find the problem I post an update. Maybe I post a blender file with the problematic object.
Any idea, any tip ? … In 3dsmax there is something called “garbage collector”…
hi ,
so i checked it down. compress did not do anything…860mb
orphan showed this at this moment…so, much of materials and images…after purging it went down to 360mb
so can anyone explain me how this could come…as it seems i have node groups, images, materials, and the one time meshes. how can i see what the big player was? i feel that it was the meshes…but how do i get orphaned meshes if all meshes are deleted ?
it would be super if someone could explain what is / was going on here. do i get images of materials saved in the file?
i think textures are only a reference ? can i define that, if they are included in the file? it seems that the materials shot that up…so it has to be the textures…why are they saved in the file?
Usually, using an image file does not attach the file, but only the path goes in, so it has nothing to do with increasing the capacity of the saved file.
However, if automatically pack resources is enabled, the image is stored inside the project and the capacity is increased.
If you save a simple scene like an image.
The typical storage method is 1 Mb.
However, if you save it after automatically pack resources is enabled, it will be 120 Mb.
