Film SLR - Praktica MTL 5 model

100|666x500

Hello.
Ive been learning 3d since the 2020 and this is my most complex project yet. I really love realistic looking cgi, so i decidet to make photorealistic model o my film SLR. It took me nearly 3 months and I struggled with many things, but Im happy with the result.

Everything is made from scratch including textures. Done with blender 2.8, rendered with Cycles.!

Nice! Is product advertisement your main field?

I also struggled with modeling years back. Than decided to start modeling all kinds of objects around me. Trying different objects and shapes really helps one understand the tools easier and faster, as well does it learn you how to use them and when to use which tool.

I kinda miss this, been doing much addon work and kinda miss the modeling days.

It looks super nice man, well done!

Perhaps it would be als nice to make a more weathered version. So more little scratches and buffs, make it look aged. Could be nice little extra to this series of shots

Most folks carefully kept their cameras in the attached covers, which prevented most “scratches” even on a heavily-used camera.

Not yet. Modeling objects around me, that i love is my joy. I don‘t do it for advertisement purposes. But maybe one day. Thank you and have a great day!
