Finding and changing the Key Set is too well hidden; needs to be more accessible and visible

Here’s some interface feedback. I’ve used the beta for about a week to animate a short scene with some physics.

Often, I need to keyframe location, but not rotation. Other times, I need to keyframe scale, and nothing else.

BUT: the selector for keysets is buried inside a pop-up menu that’s only available on the Timeline screen’s toolbar.

AND: while I’m animating, I can’t see which Key Set is active. Am I making Location keys, or LocRot keys?

Proposed solution: there should be a way to make the Key Sets button visible at all times. It’s not helpful to make us dig through a pop-up menu merely to see which current Key Set is active, or to change it. The button should indicate the current Key Set, and it should be visible at all times in Timeline, DopeSheet and other animation specific screens where you work with keyframes.
