When working with a rig, is there any way to find the exact numerical weight value of a vertex? Guessing based on the color alone isn’t working very well, and opening up Maya just for its eyedropper tool seems a bit ridiculous.
When in edit mode you can find a ‘Vertex Groups’ tab in the 3Dview properties sidebar (N). Here you can set & copy exact weight values & normalize.
This only shows up when selected vertices are in a vertex group
If you select a vertex in edit mode, under vertex groups in properties (press n) you’ll see it’s exact weight values and which bones it’s weighted to.
