Rendered with Octane Standalone using path tracing in 5600x4000
Render time about 1h on 4 GTX (580+780)
Lighting : HDR map
Love the idea and the sardines :). The boards feels off?! Maybe something with less texture. Like plain paper with olive oil stains maybe. To make the piece stand out.
This looks very Good, well done. I also Think that There is something wrong With the Floor. The Scaling Relation between Boards and the Tin does Not fit. The Boards look too small .
By the way, for a 70x50 Canvas Print i Would Render a higher Resolution with min 7000 px on the long side. Do you use whitewall.com for printing?
Depends on the dpi.
Most likely he prints @200dpi cause he doesn’t need/want to go higher.

Great modelling and materials. Love how clean the image is, no noise at all here
It may just be me, but i feel as though the shadows look too soft for this scene? They are almost impossible to view (exept for the hard shadows directly under the objects of course).
I’m guessing this is due to a high intensity light source facing down above the objects, muting the longer shadows that are cast accross the floor boards?
wonderfulwonderful!! yeah I think maybe a bit of fake ao I feel would help around the base of the tins where they meet the board to ground them, or something similar. Minimal shadow is making that contact feel just a tiny smidgen off? but its barely noticeable (if at all)…
