Hi, I’m a little unsure if to post this in the materials or physics section, but here goes.
So I need help on how to make a fine-edged smoke material like here:
I made this render using distorted planes + fresnel, and while it gave me the perfect look it’s just planes and thus don’t animate like smoke.
Since fresnel doesn’t work with volumetrics (tell me if you know a way to!!!) I can’t use the material I used for the planes. I have tried other things to get the same look on smoke (like crushing the alpha) but it just doesn’t give these fine edges.
What are your advice on how to get fine edges like this for smoke?
Or (I know this is the materials section, but be lenient) do you know a way to make planes animate like smoke?
