First project - Dragon




Hello all, I’m excited to be a part of this community! I started learning 3d modeling a few weeks ago. After finishing various tutorials I got sick of making donuts and anvils so I decided to try a dragon. Constructive criticism welcomed!

Couple of questions:

I’ve read sculpting is better for organic looking models. Should I have sculpted this instead? Or is it better to use this as a base model upon which to sculpt finer details upon?

I interested in using this and future models for games. I’m learning how to animate it now. Is there anything I have to adjust in the model before I can use it in a game? I know models have to be low poly enough, but is there anything else I should consider when making models to specifically be used in games?

Next up animating and texturing!
