Hm. Transparent globe within a globe probably bad idea. Floor in middle can still be seen(and is flat).

did you mean “reflection”? I don’t see any refraction?

There’s refraction in the glass cylinder with the skeleton and in the glass outer sphere.

Try increase the Depth of Ray Transp to solve the strange problem you point at. A depth of two is perhaps not sufficient for two refracting globes one within other, explaning the flat floor behind it.

Check this transparency tutorial if you need to learn more, but appaerntly you have the grasp on the technique anyway.
