Here is my latest work. I spent about 3 weeks working on it on and off. I got inspiration for this scene from a pencil drawing shown to me by one of my friends. I tried to use the best of my knowledge to create a uniform color palette and a good photo composition.
The Island, the trees, the structure, the water, and the sky, but the waterfall was rendered in the internal render engine and composited over.

Render times ran about 5 hours
I would love to hear anything you have to say about the images. Any advice will be accepted thankfully, and I will try to answer any questions.
I would love to continue to refine this scene, there are many things I want to change/fix about it, but I also want to move on to a new idea I had that is really exciting to me. It will be done in a few weeks if all goes well.
