Fluid + Dynamic Paint: Possible?

I’m trying to have fluid spurt out onto a brick wall and then have the paint/fluid drip down from thy wall. Is this possible in 2.61 and if so could I get some gentle hints in the direction of this concept. Thanks.

Hi BladeBorge.

I am not very experienced with Blender so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Here’s a couple of steps to take to help.

  1. You need to set your fluid Domain as the brush.
  2. In your Canvas(brick wall) settings go to Dynamic Paint Effects >> Drip and then check drip.
You can adjust the Effectors effecting the drip just below (e.g. gravity).

Also within Dynamic Paint Output panel you can set the preview type to “wetmap” to see, what I guess to be, the residual fluid or wetness left behind the initial paint to Canvas contact.

Edit: I am also using Blender 2.61.0 r42615.

Good day.

Just Google “Blender Wetmap.” Here is one I found that fits what you are looking.
