I’ve tried adding fluid to my soda can animation but it’s not working. I created the domain and set everything up, but the simulation doesn’t behave as expected. Does anyone know what might be going wrong or what steps I could try to fix this?
Okay I’ll try this. Thanks a lot
I did the same settings in your file and I bring the inflow closer to the opening but because I have an animation on the can, the fluid works only for a moment and it transforms into a cube
Can you post a link to your file? i can then try and fix it.
It could be that your animation is longer time then simulation time?
Check the domain cashed start and end the default is set to 250 frames so if your animations are longer adjust it there.
Of course I will post it (I thought I can post it here)
I don’t know how to adjust the duration of the simulation. I actually wanted to make keyframs for the inflow object to match the animation of the can, but I tried a lot & it doesn’t work. so I decided to delete the keyframes and make the flow with a static object.
It seems that new users can not upload files, can I send it to you in other platform please ?
Look here the last post:
the animation end in the begining of the simulation. I mean the can will fall from up to down and then rotate and like it will fall on the floor, after that the simulation of the liquid start
You can use WeTransfer and link it here.
When I change little things, the flow changes & it doesn’t work as expected! why small changes affect the flow?!
Anyway, here is the file: https://we.tl/t-zVHgLcRiCB
I hope you’ll fix the problem for me. Thanks a lot for your time I really appreciate
Any news ??
Yes, the problem you have is that simulations in blender needs to be in real world sizes and yours are not.

Good news i have created a new simulation and appended your old file without the simulations and manage to get it working using blender 4.1 .
Here is the file:
