Hey everyone ![]()
So I’ve been working on something for a while now and I finally feel ready to share it with this community. Honestly, BlenderArtists feels like the right place to post this first because this is where I’ve spent a lot of time myself, learning, getting inspired and seeing what people build.
It’s called Flux Particle Studio — a browser-based particle simulation tool that I built because honestly I was frustrated with how painful particle workflows in Blender can get. Not that Blender’s particle system is bad, but the moment you want something specific — a magical portal, a stylised fire, leaves falling along a custom path — it becomes a lot of work very quickly.
So I started building Flux. The idea was simple — what if you could design particle effects visually in a browser, with real time feedback, and then just… send it to Blender. Render ready. Shaders included. No manual setup.
That’s exactly what Flux does now.
You get a full set of emitter shapes — Point, Line, Ring, Disc, Sphere, Box, Hemisphere, Spline. Forces like Gravity, Wind, Turbulence, Curl Noise, Attractor, Vortex. Colliders. Drivers that let you control size, opacity and color based on lifetime, speed, height, noise — you can combine them however you want. Keyframes. Multiple emitters in the same scene, each completely independent.
The part I’m personally most proud of is the Spline emitter with live Blender sync. You draw any Bezier curve in Blender, enable Live Sync, and Flux picks it up instantly in the browser. Your particles follow whatever shape you draw, in real time. It’s one of those things that’s hard to describe but when you see it working it feels like magic.
Export flow is simple — hit Export in Flux, bake your simulation, download the ZIP, import it in Blender from the plugin panel. The plugin sets up everything automatically including the Geometry Nodes network and shaders. You can even swap out the instance object inside the node editor to use your own custom mesh for particles.
Flux is free to try — head over to flux.ranimationstudios.com and just play around, no signup needed. Export to Blender is the paid feature, available on Gumroad and Blender Market.
I also put together a full tutorial video covering everything from installation to the complete export pipeline — link below.
This is version 1.0 and honestly there’s a lot more coming. Better colliders, more interpolation methods, more forces, more presets. We’re moving fast.
Would love to hear what you all think — feedback, questions, feature suggestions — drop them below. And if you make something with it, please share it, I genuinely love seeing what people create.
Thanks for checking it out ![]()
