Here’s a recent pistol model I completed. It took me over a month to complete this, with all the texturing and rendering. Almost half the time went into rendering and editing.
This is, of course, a magnificent model and set of renders. The only thing that really surprises me – given that I have never seen the real weapon – is that the metal surfaces are generally rough and not machined.
The level of detail on that pistol is simply astonishing! How much of it is actually based on bump/displacement? Because it looks like the topology spikes drastically in areas such as the grip.
