Follow active quads not working?

I can do it properly with a new object, but I’d rather not re-do this model. When I try to unwrap the object with follow active quads, it keeps the edge length and doesn’t set the map to all even like I specify.

How can i fix this?

Select a single face and do U - Reset. Then select all and do the Follow Active Quads operation.

The reason why you need to do that is because the operation extends the unwrap according to the existing UV coordinates of the active face.

Tried that, I fixed it by deleting the UV map every time it happened.
