Face and Edge selection limitations (inside Selection, face center etc.)

That would be interesting to be more specific. Because I remember that, years ago, a discussion with Modo users, improved select tools of Blender.
We ended up with Select Next Active/Previous Active operators and a Fill Region option for Pick Shortest Path operator.

I used Modo a long time ago. Indeed, I’m still missing a number of favorite Modo features inside Blender. A plugin I’ve been using for many years that adds some better selection features and, specifically, something very akin to the Paint Select and Polygon Selection Fill features in Modo is the “Smart Select” plugin linked here. Its developer is not a coder (possibly a former Modo user himself?) but I suppose more accurate to describe him as somebody who commissioned its development at some point… meaning it never gets official updates any more and has been broken in Blender at various points over the years. But, right now, in Blender 4.2 LTS, it is working thanks to some user-provided patches available at the bottom of this thread. So… YMMV, but I keep persisting with this plugin, because (shockingly/disturbingly) such a feature has never been natively implemented into Blender. Hopefully, the community can keep this plugin working for the long haul. Smart Select - 1.4.4 This update fixes the install issue and select mouse problems
