I decided to try making a nature scene. The one thing I think I could do to improve this is actually have something be the main focus but I couldn’t think of anything so I might update this someday if I think of something.
i really like the grass in this scene and the trees are great, i think a animal would be cool as a the main focus, something like a deer, but any way its a great scene
I was considering having an animal as the main focus but my modeling skills for creating living creatures are not the best. But I think when I improve upon that I will come back to this scene and add one.
Looks great!
though the trees looks too dry for the tropical plants. try to add some ivy and rain maybe.
Quite good, but your scene doesn’t match the background enough (or the background doesn’t match the scene enough). Normally that wouldn’t be much of a problem, but in this scene the focus lies on this gap between the trees, where you can see the differences.
Thank you everyone for your critiques! I honestly can not express how thankful I am that I can get real input on how to make my images better instead of just the passing comment of how good something I make looks from people I show my work to who know me in real life.
I think that increasing the contrast of the image might have contributed to the feeling of dryness or it could be the type of texture I have used on the tree. But I do agree that they need more added to them to make them blend with the scene better.
I never really noticed how much attention the background gets when looking at it. I have always been focusing on the tree that is almost centered in the background. I guess this is the problem with having no clear focal point to an image.
I kind of got an idea for how to further the image now. The overall blueish tint to the image kind of gives a fantasy world type feeling to it so maybe adding a portal of some sort as the focus of the image would work?
Thank you everyone for your suggestions on how to improve this!
