Freezing text ?


I want my 3D text to emit particles, but this can apparently only be done from a mesh. How can I freeze the 3D Text object from Blender into a mesh which can be used as a particle source ?
The paper manual (v2.3) or these forums left me without a clue, so any light on the subject would be appreciated.

Alt-C to Curve and Alt-C again to Mesh.


Works like a charm.
Got confused by the first option (“Curve”), which was not what I wanted.
Didn’t realize that I needed to repeat the process.
