small subject intended for French speakers blender user…
Speaking about the promotion of a french comic book, the fourth book of the serie “Les Îles d’Auvergne” (The Auvergne Islands) named:

“Le Continent de Mars” (The martian continent)

Why a 3D forum for the promotion of a comic?
Well, simply because, in addition of the drawing of Franck Watel, the second part of the book and especially the high definition portfolio, was illustrated by myself with the exclusive help of our favorite software…

For those who already knew the epic and naturalists adventures on the planet “mer” (Sea) of imago Sekoya the contemplative Entomologist, here is the rest of the story, uchronic road-movie, taking place on a planet Mars while During terraforming…

To situate the origin of the adventures of Imago Sekoya, it was in 1991 A.D that the team of WB-Recup’ and the Techlab laboratory has discovered the wreckage of a freighter in a valley of Livradois-Forez in Auvergne - France. the hold of the freighter is crowded numerous documents: manuscripts, manuals, scientific texts, digital elements and fragments of space suit … Analyses show it was authentics documents from the “Mer” (Sea) and “Mars” planet, dated around 240 years after the big rising waters …
After a long process of excavation, restoration and editing begins …

By analyzing the numerical portions of charred residue of what appeared to be the helmet of the spacesuit of Sekoya imago and especially parts like hard drive memory, the Techlab laboratory researchers have uncovered real “photographs” of Travel of Imago on Mars…

It’s these pictures (made with blender) and the travel diary of Imago Sekoya showed in this 80 leaf book, sized 22.5 / 31.5cm (French form) along with a portfolio of 24 color images 2 HD 70 / 30cm and a map 124 / 42cm of the planet Mars terra-formed.

As part of this multimedia project, we decided with a friend to make à small short film, based on the 3D scenes of the book, which will be screened at many festivals and exhibition accompanying the release of this book

A small video objects, the helmet of the Imago Sekoya’s suit
Basically it’s the starting point of the Martian saga:
When we restored digital data of this helmet with the techlab, we found CGI pictures and geoloc of the travel of Imago on the planet Mars…

Otherwise, in the context of our little short film, here the first sequence of our restoration work, A subjective view of “Bombyx” airship, one of many ways of Martian vehicle available to our hero…
