A quick note - I’m using a Samsung tablet in landscape orientation, and the ad block isn’t overlapping anything. It sometimes moves when scrolling but settles into the correct position eventually.
Given that I’m usually on a work computer - thank you for that.
I dont mind adds to keep your site running, but i’m honestly a bit shocked to see adds like this one on BlenderNation. Do you support this kind of labour exploitation?
I have no problem with it; while the rates may be low for our countries, there are parts of the world where this is perfectly acceptable.

The ads are breaking the site. I get redirected to a blank php page at every attempt to navigate blenderartists.org…

I have the same issue with ads blocking the content. Vivaldi user. I wouldn’t mind ads otherwise but if it stays this way I’d be tempted to use a blocker again.

Haven’t changed any on my laptop and changed on desktop because of screen resolution(4k, so should be fine).

windows 7 in both cases, on the laptop I’m currently browsing with opera, on desktop I was using waterfox.
I expect it to be the same on all browsers, you probably just need to give the ad-spot a bit of margin-bottom in css.
Does it happen on all ads? It already has a fairly big bottom margin, see below. I’m a little puzzled by the fact that the first line is wrapped in your screenshot - that shouldn’t happen with the standard font sizes. Could you take a few more to illustrate this?
At least all that have 3 lines of text. It’s really close with 2 lines.
Well that’s the point - your font is somehow larger then it should be. Please share some more screenshots.
From opera on laptop, 1080p screen. Page zoom of 150% on left and 100% for the two on right.
Note that as an admin you have the wrench icon there, that might offer some extra padding and/or margin of it’s own.
I simply can’t reproduce that top line ‘Friends of Blender Artists - advertise here’ wrapping around on two lines. Tried on Chrome and Opera on OSX and Windows 10. Why is your font non-standard?
Might your font get loaded off server(third party service)?
It shouldn’t be. I took care to not load anything from Google etc… If you inspect the text under the banner, it’s a simple Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif.
You mentioned you have a 4K screen - have you changed the DPI settings of your system?
On the system with the 4K screen, yes, but not on the laptop.
