Full range Color Ramp

Hello!

This is a very noob question, but I’m trying to simulate the effect of Start and End mapping on to the pipe that follows the X axis, moving the black across the pipe starting from one end to another. I tried using Color Ramp, but for some reason the start seems arbitrary. I was wondering if I could get some help remapping this?




my guess is your X value does not fit smoothly between 0 and 1, so you’ll need some kind of map range or somesuch before the color ramp. :slight_smile:

That will only work without problems with uv map, specially if the curve goes back.
