Futuristic Stealth Jets

Taking a break from modeling simple objects like houses and cars, I challenged my itermidiate skills and tried modeling curvy stuff like jets.

My first jet model. I was gonna model a bird but it has lots of curves so I modeled a jet instead. Commercial jets have lots of parts so I began with a simple stealth jet.

References for the Japanese Jet:

I modeled with only these and some inspirations from F22, F35 and SR-71/72 jets.

cool man !!!

Pretty cool model. But you need to watch the topology. Those triangles all over the place are nasty. Not only they mess up the model if you use subsurf, but most importantly the correct edgeflow allows you to add details where you need them.
By the way, I wouldn’t consider a jet to be easy to model. Usually the hard surfaces in combination with precisely placed details and sharp edges - like modern cars or a jet - are the toughest challenge to model. You might have it easier with the bird, so keep it up

thanks for the info. Yes I think I should make the mesh sub-surf friendly for the turn-table version.

Now it is sub-surf friendly. Colors are inspired by Japan’s Shin-Shin Jet

So here I am working with the second jet that is more sub-surf friendly, the main fuselage.

So I created a second jet model that is sub-division friendly.
I still have to create the cockpits and bay doors.
